In wide-ranging interview, the five-term SB Democrat distances himself from Swalwell, forecasts a mid-term wave election, and waffles on debating Republican challenger in the fall.
Well. Talking about untruths.. Congress has not declared a war for over 50 years. Because our presidents from both sides have initiated kinetic actions as required and proscribed by the US Constitution. So Mr Salud’s calling out President Trump for a short military action, seems more like a partisan narrative, besides being incorrect.
Unfortunately, Salud has lost his once admirable ability to be open to those who were on the "other side". He was really effective in Santa Barbara during that time. Washington has taken away that ability, in my opinion. He still should regret sitting on his hands when a young black child was awarded a medal by the President. He did't have to stand for the President, but he didn't have the courage to stand for the you man. That is a shame.
