Melinda, spectacular reporting--who says investigative journalism is dead in SB-land? I particularly liked Judge Clifford's remarks about Federal law. What the County continues to ignore is the recently decided CA appellate court case of Crandall v. County of SB which makes clear that, notwithstanding Prop 64, cultivating or transporting Cannabis is illegal, i.e., all County permits/licenses violate federal law. Of course, in another baffling legal move my guess is that the County will use our tax dollars to protect 70 private growers and our unprofitable program by appealing the case to the CA Supreme. Given the County's generally loosing legal record, I'm not all that concerned but until/if the Supreme Court rules this case is law and the County needs to get their collective heads around it. Thank you for staying so focused on Cannabis because it matters!
