Still most news platforms are very liberal. What can it hurt to have a few conservative leaning outlets? And the new media of youtubers and platformers is supported by whomever watches it. So we can't blame 47 for people's news and entertainment choices, can we?

I agree the administration should not get involved in censoring television, including who and what content are on it. However, Trump did not cancel Kimmel's show, in spite of the fact he did not like the man. More than 60 ABC affiliates protested the show after Kimmel's rude and inaccurate comments, because their viewers and advertisers had had enough. This was going to make the Kimmel show lose even MORE money than it already was. It was simple economics: the show had to go. They gave him one last chance when they asked Jimmy to apologize, but he refused to do so. Consequently, the man was fired by his boss, not by the president or the FCC.
